PRESENTATION TOPIC--  The Path to a Successful Financial Life

PRESENTATION OVERVIEW:
A successful financial life is built upon ‘The 4 Pillars:’ cash flow management, tax issues, estate preservation and investment positioning. We will touch on each pillar and explore the idea of ditching traditional financial plans and creating a ‘directional mandate’ instead.

Most of the presentation is devoted to investment positioning, as it is key to achieving a successful financial life. As such, we will discuss the importance of maintaining the right temperament and how one might have to rethink assumptions about the stock market. We will also explain how value investing works, and how it can provide a framework for decision making.

1. Why you need to rethink traditional financial planning
2. Some powerful, yet simple, truths about investing
