PRESENTATION TOPIC--  The ABCs of BDCs and Closed-End Funds

PRESENTATION OVERVIEW: 
Mr. Scott will explain the basics of Closed End Funds (CEFs) and Business Development Companies (BDCs) and how these investment vehicles can benefit your investment portfolio with permanent (fixed) capital, active management and daily liquidity.
Attend this meeting to learn -- three short lines.

ATTEND THIS MEETING TO LEARN: 
1. How to balance the risk/reward for CEFA’s Trifecta Analysis: discount capture, sustainable dividends and manager performance (NAV total return).
2. About current and historical trends for the Universe of 600 funds.
3. How to build a hypothetical taxable and IRA account using the funds.

John Cole Scott, CFS.

Mr. Scott holds the FINRA 66 License and the Certified Fund Specialist designation (CFS). John is quoted widely in the financial press and has presented at conferences and for investment groups. He manages 12 investment portfolio models for CEF advisors. In 2008 John founded CEFA's Closed-End Fund Universe, a weekly data service covering all US listed closed-end funds and Business Development Companies (BDC) Funds. He manages BDCUniverse.net (powered by CEFData.com), containing free public BDC Fund profiles and peer group data. He founded and manages The CEF Network group on LinkedIn and is editor of CEFAdvisors' blog. The firm has portfolio models on Covestor.com and a BDC UIT with their partner, SmartTrust UIT.
